Do you have an update on when the site might speed up? I’ve been running the OpenScenery X installer for several hours and it’s only downloaded about 200 files.
I can only apologise Jon. Our hosting provider shut down the site a couple of weeks ago without warning because we were using “too much bandwidth” – this is on an “unlimited bandwidth” account. I now suspect that they are throttling the site and I am in the process of organising new hosting. I’m looking for the best price but it I think dedicated hosting is the only sensible way to go, which is going to be considerably more expensive.
Your current provider is a downright evil cheat. Obviously without scruples or character. At the rate he is giving you it would take days to complete a download on a 6mb cable link. Dump him ASAP and wish the SOB the worse!
